Building And Maintaining Our Relationship

Our relationship with our members has always been considered one of our most important goals. Every year we aspire to connect with as many of our members as possible to help them to reduce injuries in our industry by building effective health and safety systems.

Each year we introduce new and innovative programs to inspire you in building towards an Occupational Health & Safety Standard of Excellence. The ideas for these innovations have come from you – our members – and I want to thank you for your contribution.

In 2013 we engaged with over 650 of our members and well over 100 of those are now registered in the OSSE program. This is a significant achievement because it means we are having an impact where it matters … on the shop floor.

We have grown as an organization and we intend to keep adapting and finding new ways of reaching out to you in order to ensure that we fulfil your needs and expectations.

Together we are taking great strides in making BC workplaces healthier and safer places.

As we close out the year 2013 FIOSA-MIOSA has experienced tremendous growth and is both financially and professionally healthy as an organization.

In addition to managing the operations for the Board, we are actively working on plans for the future. With direction from the Board we are taking steps to ensure FIOSA-MIOSA remains at the forefront of health and safety provincially, nationally and internationally.

It has again been both a privilege and honour to represent the membership this year. Thank you for supporting our efforts and helping us to achieve our mission.
