The Manufacturing Safety Alliance of BC (the ‘Alliance’), is the occupational health and safety (OHS) association for manufacturing and food processing employers in British Columbia. Established in 2007 as a not-for-profit organization, the Alliance is industry-funded and industry-driven; our vision is to partner with BC’s industry leaders to achieve cultural change that ensures safe workplaces for all employees.

Profile Summary

The aim of the Outbound Calls Associate position is to support the Stakeholder Relations team and the Marketing team in obtaining business opportunities by making outbound calls and signing up participants for specialized Health and Safety courses; and other outbound calls as may be required by the Alliance.

This position reports to the Stakeholder Relations Manager.

Required Skills and Attributes (Must have):

* Passion for the importance of health and safety and stakeholder relations

* Demonstrated ability of inside sales / conducting effective cold calls via telephone engagements; You know you can cold call, and you’re not afraid to prove it

* 2-5 years’ experience of proactively generating leads

* Demonstrating integrity and ethics on all occasions

* Ability to deliver within timelines; excellent organizational skills

* Attention to detail

* Excellent listening and presentation skills

* Well versed in the usage of Microsoft Office products, Excel databases and CRM systems
