November 24 & December 1 (virtual classroom) – 4 hours
To achieve a safe workplace, employers and workers need to be aware of current hazards and possible hazards as soon as possible. The purpose of this course is to provide participants with a basic understanding of how to identify hazards, assess their risk, and select control measures for those hazards. Other health and safety activities such as workplace inspection follow a hazard identification, assessment and control process.
These activities are the starting points of all preventive efforts in a Health and Safety Program. All companies regardless of size need to understand what Hazard Identification and Control and Workplace Inspections are in order to meet their safety management system requirements.
