Annual membership automatically renewed. Cancellation notification must be submitted in writing to the Manufacturing Safety Alliance of BC.
Employers with Multiple Classification Units (CUs)
Employers with multiple Classification Units (CUs) having a combination of both CUs that are currently in the group of classification units served by the Manufacturing Safety Alliance of BC and those that are not, will have their annual membership fees assessed by the Manufacturing Safety Alliance of BC on a case by case basis.
As a rule of thumb, those employers with more than 50% of their assessable payroll in CUs being served by the Manufacturing Safety Alliance of BC (i.e. by currently paying the WorkSafeBC insurance premium levy) will be deemed Manufacturing Safety Alliance of BC Classification Unit Members (Regular Business).
Those employers with less than 50% will be deemed Manufacturing Safety Alliance of BC Non Classification Unit Members (Corporate Business) and will be charged by Manufacturing Safety Alliance of BC accordingly based on the applicable assessable payroll in the non Manufacturing Safety Alliance of BC CUs and using the formula for calculating Manufacturing Safety Alliance of BC Non Classification Unit Members as described above.
