The course will provide essential knowledge and awareness that will enhance the participant’s ability to participate in the incident/accident investigation component of the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) management system.
This course is structured as a one (1) day course but can be modified to meet content and duration requirements.This online version is structured as a one four hour course.
Online and Classroom formats are available.
This course is designed for anyone in BC’s manufacturing industry who may be delegated incident/accident investigation responsibilities.
Previous health and safety education and/or experience is an asset but not required.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Describe the OHS legal compliance requirements pertaining to incident investigation
- Explain the basic principles and concepts upon which policy and procedures are established for incident investigation
- Understand the casual analysis technique for incident investigation
