Work Flow Process Analysis
The second facet of the approach, called STENA+, is a paid, one-day, training session which includes the added value of training one or two of the client’s staff by the Manufacturing Safety Alliance of BC specialist on how to conduct STENA themselves. This aspect of the STENA program ensures sustainability and the ongoing ability for the client to take charge of their own ergonomics program.
Additional components of the STENA program include the Initial Design Ergonomics Assessment (IDEA) which assist companies assess their initial plans of the layout. The Work Flow and Process Analysis (WFPA) assists in determining various controls according to the workflow and processes which are already in place. The ergonomics specialist works with the company’s management and engineers to assist in better processes and workflow.
Ergo Made-to-Measure sessions are one-hour informative sessions, focusing on workers and good ergonomics principles and how to prevent MSIs in the workplace. The sessions are delivered at your place of business and developed based on the needs assessment and priorities of the client.
