Abby Ferri CSP

Abby is an influential leader in global risk management and safety with over 20 years of experience. As a senior leader with National Safety Council’s Networks in the USA, she is part of a team that provides unique forums for interaction among member companies, enables benchmarking among members, alignment of special projects with other aspects of NSC, and provides safety consulting and thought leadership.

A passionate advocate for advancing women in EHS leadership, ethical technology integration, and STEM education, she co-founded the globally recognized "Safety Justice League" podcast and has authored two books. Abby also serves as an adjunct professor and is active in her local community, contributing to advisory groups focused on thoughtful AI strategy and equitable access to STEM careers. Her leadership and innovative approaches continue to shape the future of workplace safety and education.

She was honored with the 2022 American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) Safety Professional of the Year and the 2019 International Safety Equipment Association (ISEA) Distinguished Service Award in recognition for her advocacy for industrial worker safety. In 2023, she was vice chair of the ASSP/ISEA Technical Report Committee establishing guidelines for the fit and selection of PPE for women. Abby holds a Masters Degree in Environmental Health and Safety from the University of Minnesota Duluth, is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Associate in Risk Management (ARM).
