Chalena Biggar CHSC, CRST

In the decade since she stepped into an interim health and safety role, Chalena has successfully implemented key initiatives in multiple organizations throughout Canada's Atlantic provinces. Director of Health and Safety at Cooke, Inc., a multinational seafood company based in New Brunswick, and founder of a regional peer organization: Women Safety Leaders.

With experience spanning construction, transportation, manufacturing, processing, fisheries and aquaculture, Chalena's focus areas are evaluating safety management systems, managing incident reporting systems, and encouraging an open and positive safety culture.

A Certified Health and Safety Consultant (CHSC) and Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST), Chalena has been named a Top Women in Safety by Canadian Occupational Safety for two consecutive years.
