Biography

With 25 years of experience in the petroleum industry and an additional 5 years in various supply chain positions, Curtis has amassed several insights and observations that assist and give reference to his current studies in Supply Chain Management at MacEwan University. His experiences extend beyond Canada and include the US, Cuba, and Kazakhstan. He has held positions and roles that enabled him to directly contribute to the safety and safety culture of the organizations that he used to work for. These experiences provided opportunities for learning about the integration, change, and development of safety culture in an unforgiving industry. In class, he often provides references to applications where the material, theory, or skills were directly relevant or could have been used in order to stave off unfortunate events. While Curtis completes the final year of his undergraduate degree he looks forward to utilizing his new skills and applying them to create a safer and more sustainable environment in his future roles.
