Biography

Former BBC senior journalist, Kate Lamble works as a freelance journalist and audio producer—currently producing a new 10-part narrative series for BBC Radio 4 about HS2 with Whistledown Productions.

Kate was previously the Science & Technology Correspondent for BBC Newsnight, leading coverage of scientific and environmental issues, including topics such as health and climate change. A senior journalist in Radio Current Affairs (now Long Form Audio) at the BBC, she produced and presented various factual programmes for Radio 4, the World Service, and BBC Sounds—most notably, The Grenfell Tower Inquiry Podcast—winner of the Best Factual Series at the ARIAS 2025—and More or Less.
