Latoya is a Health and Safety Professional with over 10 years of experience in Occupational Health and Safety across Food and Beverage, Manufacturing, Oil and Gas, Consulting, Construction, and Higher Education.
Latoya began her career in occupational health and safety within the oil and gas industry, specializing in safety training, policy development, and the implementation of health and safety procedures. She then transitioned into a consulting role supporting construction projects at Vancouver International Airport, where she ensured contractors understood and met the airport's health and safety requirements before and throughout project execution, while providing ongoing safety guidance and support to both contractors and project stakeholders. She later joined Swiss Water Decaffeinated Coffee, where she focused on strengthening the organization's safety culture and leading the development, revision, and implementation of a comprehensive health and safety program.
She currently serves as the Health, Safety & Environmental Supervisor at Dessert Holdings, where the focus is on regulatory compliance and fostering a strong workplace safety culture.
