Marieke Bleyenbergh

Marieke Bleyenbergh is the founder of Be Human Be Safe, a company dedicated to transforming workplace safety through human-centric leadership. She is a practical and strategic advisor who has lived the operational side of high-risk industry. She loves to speak and inspire at events, as well as coach and develop EHS and operational leaders. With over 27 years of international experience in refining, petrochemicals, and specialty chemicals, Marieke has held senior leadership roles at Shell and AkzoNobel and recently served as interim CEO of Pryme Circular Cleantech, a publicly traded company in chemical recycling.

Her expertise spans operations, supply chain, sustainability, and health, safety & environment (HSE), where she is recognized for combining technical depth with a strong focus on people and culture. She has worked extensively across Europe, the U.S., and Asia, giving her a truly global perspective on industrial safety challenges.
