Biography

Rodney is a Senior Policy and Legal Advisor with WorkSafeBC where he oversees regulatory review projects which result in new, or revised, regulations to the province’s Occupational Health and Safety Regulation. Previously, he was an Investigations Legal Officer with WorkSafeBC where he provided legal advice on workplace investigation and regulatory enforcement matters. Prior to joining WorkSafeBC, he practiced civil litigation with a Vancouver-based firm. Rodney is also a mechanical engineer and, before embarking on a legal career, worked in various manufacturing roles in the food & beverage and pulp & paper industries, including as a plant manager. In his current role, he enjoys most interacting with subject matter experts and external stakeholders in order to find pragmatic solutions to regulatory challenges which will ultimately help improve health and safety at all workplaces.
