Biography

Janet Mannella is Vice President of Operations at the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety. She is a certified Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) and brings to CCOHS a wealth of expertise in safety leadership, compliance, employee relations, workplace investigations, and much more.

Prior to joining CCOHS, Janet worked at McMaster University as the Faculty of Health Sciences Safety Manager, where she was responsible for delivery and audit of occupational health and safety programs and management of support services for more than 8,000 employees across the multiple Health Sciences locations. She was also Manager of Occupational Safety, Security and Parking Services at Conestoga College, and taught in their health and safety certificate program.

Janet holds an MBA with a speciality focus in Health and Safety Leadership from the University of Fredericton as well as an Occupational Health and Safety certificate from Ryerson University.
