Regulatory Update & Q&A: Applying the New Combustible Dust Guidelines
NOVEMBER 18, 2026 12:30PM - 2:00PM

In Jan 2027, new regulatory requirements for combustible dust risks and hazards are going into effect. Combustible dust risk is present in a wide range of industries; from wood processing to food production. And under the new regulations, industries that may not have considered dust risk in the past are now required to build a compliant combustible dust program.  And those with existing programs will need to ensure that they are fully compliant with the new BC regulations.

In this session:

  • Understand what the new regulations require for combustible dust identification and risk assessment.
  • Learn to apply the newly published WorkSafeBC Guidelines for combustible dust.

Ensure that you can clearly identify and understand the risks of combustible dust in your workplace—and that you are taking the necessary steps to ensure compliance with the new regulations.
