By Car

Situated near Commercial Street, where Gordon Street intersects the Trans-Canada Hwy/Hwy 1/Terminal Avenue. While on-street parking is limited, there is a public parkade behind the building on Gordon St.

By Ferry

Hulu Ferry offers fast, convenient ferry travel between downtown Vancouver & Nanaimo. As a passenger only ferry, they can cross the Georgia Straight in 70 minutes (less than half the time it takes other ferries) with the convenience of no line ups, a downtown location and easy laid back boarding with guaranteed seating.

BC Ferries provides passenger and vehicle service to Nanaimo from Vancouver’s Horseshoe Bay (1 hr., 40 min.) terminal and Tsawwassen (2 hrs.) terminal. Ferries arrive in Departure Bay (5 min. from VICC) and Duke Point (20 min. from VICC). Taxi, bus and shuttle services are available at terminals. Other ferry services, with 90-minute to 3-hour crossing times, link various points in Washington State with Victoria or nearby Sidney, BC.

By Seaplane & Helicopter

Harbour Air provides service from Vancouver Harbour (20 min.) and Vancouver International Airport (YVR) (20 min.) to Nanaimo Harbour, docking 2 blocks from VICC. Seair Seaplanes offers service between YVR (15 min.) and its Departure Bay terminal, which is less than a five-minute drive from VICC. Tofino Air offers 12 flights daily to and from Nanaimo Harbour and Vancouver Harbour. Helijet offers scheduled and chartered helicopter flights from the Vancouver Harbour, Vancouver Airport, and Nanaimo Harbour.

By Commercial Flight

Air Canada runs 20-minute flights from Vancouver International Airport to Nanaimo Airport, located 15 minutes from VICC. Westjet Airlines and Air Canada offer connecting flights from Calgary International Airport to Nanaimo Airport. Various US and Canadian airlines fly into Victoria International Airport (2 hrs. from VICC). Taxi, bus and shuttle services are available at terminals.
