The WHMIS Train the Trainer course is designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively train others on Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) regulations and practices. This comprehensive training program covers essential topics such as WHMIS legislation, hazard classification, labeling requirements, safety data sheets (SDS), and proper handling procedures for hazardous materials.
Participants will learn how to deliver engaging and informative WHMIS training sessions, including best practices for adult learning, effective presentation techniques, and interactive training activities. The course also emphasizes the importance of creating a supportive learning environment and addressing participants’ questions and concerns.
It is a requirement that all participants take the MSABC WHMIS e-Learning course prior to taking this course.
This training is structured as an in-person, instructor-led course that can be offered privately or publicly. It is estimated to be 6 hours in duration.
It is helpful if participants have access to a personal or work cellphone that they can connect to Wi-Fi and use to participate in activities throughout the course.
