IMMERSIVE | Incident Investigations

NEW | 360° Immersive, scenario-based safety training

In a realistic 360° immersive workplace environment, complete an incident investigation, step by step. Through role-playing scenarios and decision points, build the skills to secure an accident scene, collect and analyze information, determine contributing factors, and complete an investigation report.

Gain practical experience in identifying hazards, uncovering root causes, and recommending corrective actions to prevent repeat incidents.

Online for your convenience, this immersive training is designed to hold your interest and give you practical experience so you remember more of what you learn.

Applicability

This course supports regulatory compliance in all Canadian provincial and federal jurisdictions—part of a consistent training program for your team across Canada. It is a core training topic for joint health and safety committees and representatives.

Course Length and Format

This self-paced, immersive online course uses scenario-based role play and an interactive guidebook to build skills. It will take most learners 2-2.5 hours to complete the training.

We recommend completing the course in one sitting. The system has save-points built in at specific stages. If a learner needs to stop the course, they will not have to start over; however, depending on where they stop, they may find they have to repeat part of a scene.

Participants must have access to a laptop/desktop computer or iPad/tablet to take this training. A good internet or WIFI connection is essential.

Pre-requisites

Previous health and safety education and/or experience is an asset but not required.

Course Evaluation

The learner will respond to questions and complete activities throughout the course and its guidebook to gauge their understanding of concepts. There is also a written assessment for this course.

On successful completion of all course modules and the written assessment, learners will be awarded a Certificate of Completion. Learners will need to successfully complete the full course and assessment to be able to download their certificate of completion.
