Course Length and Format

This self-paced immersive online course supports the learners understanding of the key concepts through scenario-based training and an interactive guidebook. It includes various practical learning activities. It is estimated to take 2-2.5 hours to complete the training.

We recommend completing the course in one sitting. The system has save-points built in at specific stages. If a learner needs to stop the course, they will not have to start over; however, depending on where they stop, they may find they have to repeat some of the scene.

Participants must have access to a laptop/desktop computer or iPad/tablet to attend the training sessions. A good internet or WIFI connection is essential.

Pre-requisites

Previous health and safety education and/or experience is an asset but not required.

Course Evaluation

The learner responds to questions and completes activities throughout the course and its guidebook to gauge their understanding of concepts. There is also a written assessment for this course.

Upon successful completion of all course modules and the written assessment, learners will be awarded a Certificate of Completion. Learners will need to complete all 2 course elements (Learning Component and Post-course assessment) to be able to download their certificate of completion.
