John Oudyk
Occupational Hygienist
John Oudyk is an as an Occupational Hygienist who has worked with the Hamilton Clinic of the Occupational Health Clinics for Ontario Workers (OHCOW) since 1989. John’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Waterloo (1983), and a Master’s of Science from the McMaster University, Health Research Methods Program (2005). He was an Assistant Professor (part-time) in the McMaster University Department of Health Research Methods, Evidence & Impact (HEI), Faculty of Health Sciences’ Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine from 2007 to 2019. He is certified both with the Canadian Registration Board for Occupational Hygienists and the American Board of Industrial Hygiene. John has been active in following infectious disease exposure and prevention developments in healthcare and other settings since SARS1, advising workplaces and unions. He has also carried out on site exposure investigations and conducted extensive surveys of healthcare workers. He has been a member of research teams investigating the conditions of infection transmission.
