Digital Content Marketing Co-op Student

We are seeking a Digital Marketing Co-op Student to join our Marketing and Communication. s team for a 4 or 8–month term. With mentorship and coaching from other team members, this opportunity will provide practical, highly competitive and transferrable marketing and communications skills. Working for a vision-focused non-profit, you will have the opportunity to contribute to safer workplaces across our province.

You will work on a range of projects aimed at expanding our reach and brand awareness, engaging target audiences, and driving strategic marketing initiatives. This is a project-based role designed to provide hands-on experience in various aspects of marketing. You will be able to apply the theory you are learning in your university program to hands-on situations.

This is a remote role, with monthly meetings on site. Occasional travel may be required to training or event venues, or member sites.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Conduct market research projects including competitive intelligence, particularly focused on building meaningful audience profiles.
  • Develop creative content for various marketing channels, including social media and email campaigns, aligning with brand guidelines.
  • Assist in planning and executing ongoing marketing campaigns, including but not limited to training and specialized service programs, conference and award gala promotions and program development, and membership promotion.
  • Support the marketing team as assigned.

Who You Are

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant British Columbia undergraduate program with a focus on Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills. Native English writing proficiency.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing platforms and tools.
  • At least basic videography and video production skills.
  • Self-motivated, creative, and organized.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, website search tools including Google, social media channels, and web CMS. Ideally with some experience with the Adobe suite of creative tools or similar.
