808: Fall protection

Fall protection is the proper use of fall protection equipment and the planning, supervision, and training of workers who work at heights. The OHS Professional must be familiar with the requirements for workers to use fall protection systems when they could fall from a height that could result in injury. It is important that the OHS professional understands the limits of their own knowledge, and recognizes when it is necessary to bring in additional expertise.

In order to act as an effective resource in their workplace, the OHS professional should be familiar with:

– Legislation, regulations, guidelines, and standards that pertain to working at heights
