At our AGM on May 21, we welcomed two new members to the board and thanked two retiring board members.

Amit Chhabra
President of Richmond custom machine shop Hansen Industries, Amit is an experienced leader in a variety of industries. He has a successful track record of creating value for stakeholders, maintaining high standards of environmental performance, shaping organizational culture, and motivating and mentoring high-performance management teams.
Amit has demonstrated his commitment to workplace health and safety, leading Hansen Industries to COR certification to the Occupational Safety Standard of Excellence. His personal and international professional background give him a profound understanding of cultural gaps and connections, while his strategic and tactical leadership drives excellence in all areas of company operations and supply chain management. Amit has led all aspects of procurement, negotiations, factory operations, production, manufacturing planning, inventory planning and management, demand planning (forecasting), warehousing, and logistics.
A quality professional, Amit has served as Registration Chair (Vancouver Chapter) for ASQ since 2011. He is Lean Bronze Certified and a long-standing member of Engineers & Geoscientists of BC, the Project Management Institute, and SME.
Amit holds a Master of Business Administration from the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Bangalore University
Mario Mantaglioni
Mario is an Account Executive for Professional & Financial Services at Axis Insurance in Professional and Financial Services. With over three decades of experience in the insurance industry, he specialises in manufacturing, with a focus on industrial operations, and professional liability for lawyers. He brings extensive experience across various facets of the industry, including claims, underwriting, loss prevention, and as a broker.
Mario is a business risk management advisor, with success grounded in exceptional service and expertise. His comprehensive approach ensures tailored advice and solutions that align with specific requirements to guide clients to informed decisions. With a significant understanding of the entire insurance industry, it puts him in a unique and distinguished position to recommend effective solutions.
With a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from Simon Fraser University, Mario is a registered Canadian Insurance Professional.
