For all non-vaccinated employees, can we ask the to have covid tests weekly at their own expense?

Having COVID testing as part of your approach to keep your employees safe is very likely an acceptable method of risk mitigation. It could also play a big role in accommodating workers with medical or religious reasons for not being vaccinated. It could be problematic to make employees pay for the tests (both with Employment Standards and at common law) and it is unnecessary as free testing is available for employers.
