Miranda is a safety advisor specializing in occupational hygiene. With eight years of occupational hygiene and safety experience in the oil and gas industry, utilities, and at a post secondary institute, Miranda has extensive experience in asbestos management, confined spaces, and exposure monitoring, as well as training development and instruction.

Benzene, silica, asbestos, welding fume, and noise are a few of the exposures Miranda has investigated and helped mitigate.  She prides herself on collaboration and offering pragmatic and simple solutions to problems.

Miranda holds a masters degree in Occupational and Environmental Hygiene from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Alberta.

Outside of work, Miranda is a health, wellness, and fitness enthusiast. She spends a majority of her free time at the gym, taking long walks outside, or playing sports, such as softball, slo-pitch, hockey, and dodgeball. She is an avid animal lover and enjoys spending time with her dog and cats.

Miranda has a passion for helping people and ensuring they are safe at work, as well as in their everyday lives. She looks forward to working with Alliance members to ensure every worker goes home safe at the end of the day.
