Instructional Skills WorkshopThis customizable 1 day course will help managers, supervisors, or lead-hands acquire the necessary skills to become more effective adult educators. It will also assist seasoned trainers to bring their skills to a higher level of competency and show them how to enhance the effectiveness of courses, crew talks, and on-the-job training.
Machine SafeguardingEvery day workers have to deal with hazardous energy from machinery and equipment. Are there safeguards in place to prevent contact with hazardous power, point of contact (body part and equipment) and ejecting material?
Hazard Identification and ControlA hazard identification and control program is a systematic approach to identifying and analyzing workplace hazards in an effort to mitigate risk of injuries and occupational disease. This course will provide employees, managers, supervisors and JHSCs working in BC’s manufacturing industry with tools and a basic understanding of hazard recognition, risk assessments, and control methods.
Thermal Imaging FundamentalsUnderstanding and employing thermal imaging technologies can uncover impending equipment failures or dangerous situations that left unchecked, could lead to lost production or serious injury. This course is recommended as a basic requirement for workers in maintenance or in the trades who already conduct or are planning to conduct thermal surveys.
