Bill 41: Amendments to the Workers Compensation Act

On October 31, 2022, BC Minister of Labour Harry Bains introduced amendments to the Workers Compensation Act which include:
- emphasising the legal responsibilities of employers to help workers return to work;
- increasing the maximum compensation amount for non-traumatic hearing loss; and
- allowing for independent health professionals in external appeals.
